Honors & Awards
A&M-Texarkana CBET aims to move forward in exciting and innovative ways by recognizing and addressing stakeholder needs, enhancing its undergraduate and graduate program curriculum with measurable success, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, as well as engaging and impacting the community. These combined efforts have led to A&M-Texarkana to currently being ranked #5 of the 90 Most Affordable Online Master’s in Accounting by GETEDUCATED.COM and #6 of the 20 Best Affordable Colleges in Texas for Bachelor’s Degree by AFFORDABLESCHOOLS.NET; additionally, A&M- Texarkana was formerly recognized as the 4th Best Online MBA Program by AFFORDABLESCHOOLS.NET and #10 Most Diverse Colleges in Texas by NICHE.COM among other notable university accolades.
Grants
- CBET received an accelerating credential planning grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) in the amount of $50,000 for starting a new program and certificate in Data Science/Business Analytics. The grant resulted in a proposed concentration in Data Science/Business Analytics in our MBA program, as well as a certificate in Data Science/Business Analytics. Four faculty members upgraded their skills in Data Science and Business Analytics through a certificate program offered by the University of Texas-Austin, with one faculty member completing a Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- Two of the CBET faculty members received $20,000 from Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TESS) for a project titled “Powering Up: Cybersecurity education for a Dispersed Workforce.”
