Business Office
The Texas A&M University Texarkana Business Office is dedicated to quality services for students, faculty and staff in the areas of registration and information dissemination. Our objective is to provide quality fiscal information and services to students, faculty, staff, and external entities in an efficient and timely manner, and to keep students advised of the tuition and fee payment process.
Payment Options
In an effort to help our students with the financing of their tuition, a number of payment options are made
Obligation to Pay Tuition, Required Fees, Other Fees and Charges for Optional Services
By registering for classes, students agree to pay all tuition and required fees associated with their registration, optional services and other fees, whether paying in full or utilizing the installment payment option. Failure to pay tuition, fees or other charges may result in penalties, late registration fees and/or possible cancellation. If your registration schedule is canceled due to non-payment, a $100 reinstatement fee will be charged to re-enroll. Unpaid tuition, fees, and other charges are subject to Texas A&M University-Texarkana's collection policy and the student will be responsible for any and all collection fees incurred to collect on the account.
Accepted Forms of Payment
Payment for tuition, fees, room and meal plans are made to the Texas A&M University-Texarkana, Business Office. Payments may be made by cash, check, money order, cashier's check, debit or credit card. The university accepts Visa, Discover, Master Card, American Express. The following are ways in which payments can be made:
- By mail to the following address: Texas A&m University-Texarkana, Attn: Business Office, 1st floor Academic and Student Services (BASS) building, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, TX 75503
- In person in the Business Office located in the University Center on the 1st floor Academic and Student Services (BASS) building. Monday-Friday, 8:00 am- 4:30 pm.
- Web payments by credit card, electronic check, debit by accessing your TouchNet Payment Gateway student account in Web for Students.
- International Payments - TransferMate International Payment - Payment instructions and how-to video can be found on TransferMate website.
Installment Payment Plan
The Texas A&M University-Texarkana Business Office is constantly striving to meet the needs of our non-traditional and professional students. Therefore, it is now easier than ever to handle your business affairs at A&M-Texarkana. Remember the following tips when paying your bills:
- A $25.00 Installment Plan Fee will be assessed to any student enrolled in the Installment Payment Plan.
- The installment payment plan is available for Fall, Summer, and Spring terms.
- For Fall and Spring terms, there will be 4 payments of 1/4 total tuition and fees.
- For Summer terms, there will be 2 payments of 1/2 total tuition and fees.
- A $25.00 late fee is added if payment is not received by the due date.
Installment Payment Plan
To sign up for a payment plan:
- Visit the Web for Students Page
- Log in using your Student ID and six digit PIN
- If Student ID is unknown, visit our CWID lookup page to recover
- If PIN is unknown, follow instructions in Web for Students on how to reset your PIN.
- Select TouchNet Payment Gateway (look for symbol)
- Select Click for Current Account Status (opens a new window)
- Select Payment Plans
- Select Enroll Now
- Select appropriate term
- Follow prompts to finish enrollment
Please note that setting up automatic payments through the payment will AUTOMATICALLY draft payments from your bank account on each due date.
Payments are non-refundable when there is a balance owed.

Waivers and Exemptions
Please visit the College For All Texans website for a list of exemptions provide to some Texas residents. Eligible students are responsible for applying for the waiver or exemption and ensuring the waiver or exemption has been applied toward tuition and fees for the current semester. Students are responsible for payment of tuition and fees not covered under the waiver or exemption and are subject to late payment penalties and late registration charges if tuition and fees are not paid.

Non-Resident Tuition Waiver
The Competitive Scholarship waiver, authorized under Texas Education Code 54.213a, is an optional waiver that institutions can implement. An eligible non-resident student who holds a competitive scholarship of a specified minimum dollar amount for the academic year or summer for which the student is enrolled may be eligible to pay the fees and charges required of Texas residents without regard to the length of time the student has resided in Texas.
The Competitive Scholarship waiver is based on the number of hours a student is enrolled in.

Tuition and Fees Description
Tuition and fees for the academic year have been posted. Tuition and mandatory fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be prorated or refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the academic year.
Statutory Tuition - Statutory tuition rates are set by the Texas Legislature.
Designated Tuition - A mandatory tuition for operations of the University, scholarship set-asides and building upkeep and improvements.
Student Center Fee -A mandatory fee for operation and maintenance of student centers.
Recreation Sport Fee - A mandatory fee to finance, construct, operate, maintain and improve recreational sports facilities and programs.
Student Health Fee - A mandatory fee to provide for mental health services and health education.
Intercollegiate Athletic Fee - A mandatory fee to initiate intercollegiate sports and build sports facilities.
University Services Fee - A mandatory fee to support various university programs/services including but not limited to records, traffic safety, technology, library, advising, international education, supplemental instruction, and student support.
Admissions Application Fee - A mandatory fee for application processing.
Student Endowed Scholarship Fee- The student-endowed-scholarship fee is a mandatory fee to fund a student-endowed scholarship.
Differential Tuition- This fee is assessed by the semester credit hour to courses under the following College and/or Department and is used to enhance the academic programs under the College and/or Department.
Web and Distance Education Fee- Fee that the university will add to all web-based, web enhanced (hybrid web/face to face), and two-way interactive video (ITV) courses. The fee will cover the costs associated with the delivery of distance education courses utilizing a variety of instructional modalities, allow for the improvement and enhancement of hardware and software associated with delivery of such instruction, improve training of faculty in the use of these modalities, and improve materials and the quality of instruction.
1098T Tax Information
Texas A&M University Texarkana cannot determine if a student qualifies for either the Hope Scholarship Tax Credit or the Lifetime Learning Tax Credit. Students and parents should obtain IRS publication 970, Tax Benefits for Higher Education and IRS form 8863 or contact their personal tax advisor for assistance. The IRS Website for obtaining forms and publications or you can call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.
