Management Information Systems, Computer Science, and Mathematics

Welcome to the Department of Management Information Systems, Computer Science, and Mathematics (MCM)

The Department of Management Information Systems, Computer Science, and Mathematics (also known as MCM), one of the fastest growing departments in the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology (CBET) at A&M -Texarkana, houses several undergraduate and graduate degree programs as well as undergraduate minors and micro-credential certificates. Our undergraduate majors, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, and Mathematics develop graduates who are critical thinkers, skilled in analyzing, designing, and developing solutions; ambidextrous in business and technology skills; and effective producers and consumers of information by using latest technologies. Our undergraduate minors make for excellent accompaniments to any major in CBET through a wide selection of course offerings.

CBET prides itself on providing opportunities for our majors, minors, and graduate students to pursue opportunities and experiences that allow them to connect academic knowledge with practical skills through internships with local companies. The greater Texarkana region provides numerous employment opportunities in diverse areas, such as defense, manufacturing, transportation, and healthcare amongst others. Our students visit companies located in Texarkana and nearby areas (e.g., Dillard's in Little Rock) to study manufacturing and business processes and regularly receive offers for internships and jobs (e.g., Red River Army Depot, Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, Graphic Packaging International, Guaranty Bank and Trust, Thompson Software Solutions, Wadley Regional Medical Center).
