Apply for Graduation

All students applying for graduation must complete the online graduation application through Web for Students.  Please review the important deadlines below and additional information related to the commencement ceremonies.

Completion of a degree program is the student's responsibility.  The student's lack of knowledge or misinterpreting policies and regulations does not clear them from completing all degree requirements.  Students who fail to graduate during the semester they have applied must complete a new application form for the semester the degree will be completed.

All correspondence regarding graduation will be sent to your ACE email account.  LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

COMMENCEMENT STREAMING

Live streaming video of commencement will be available.

BALLOONS, FLAGS, FLOWERS, POSTERS, AND NOISEMAKERS

Out or respect for all guests, balloons, flags, large floral bouquets, posters, and noisemakers are not permitted in the guest seating area.  Our commencement staff will store these items for you to be picked up after the ceremony.

CAP & GOWN

Cap and gown are required for ceremony participation.  You may order your cap and gown from the Eagle Central Bookstore on the main campus or online.

CEREMONY INFORMATION

  • The length of each ceremony may vary with the number of graduates, however we expect the ceremony to last less than one hour.
  • Each ceremony will start on time.  Guests who arrive late run the risk of missing their graduate walk the stage.  Guests should arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow for parking, security screening and ticket scanning.
  • There will be a security screening at entrance. No firearms are allowed inside the Patterson Student Center.
  • Graduating students should arrive and check in 45 minutes prior to the ceremony
  • Check your ACE email for ceremony information updates.
  • Cap and gown is required for ceremony participation. Cap and gown can be ordered from the Eagle Central Bookstore or online. Call the bookstore at 903.334.6620 for questions.

From interstate 30 east or west.

1.Head north on Farm to Market Rd 2878 / University Ave toward W Park Blvd. Continue to follow Farm to Market Rd 2878 go (2.4 mi) total 2.4 mi  

2. Continue onto University Ave go 315 ft total (2.5 mi)

SEATING

General seating will be available.  No reserved seating.  Seating is first come, first serve. If a disabled or elderly person will require accommodations, plan to arrive early to avoid the crowds in the parking lot and facility lobby. 

PARKING

There is no reserved parking for graduates and their guests. Handicapped parking is available on a first come/first served basis.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Grad Images will be taking photographs for the commencement ceremony.  Participating graduates are urged to pre-register before the ceremony in order to make viewing and ordering the images easier.  Please visit the Grad Images website to pre-register.

Follow the instructions below to view your graduation photos.

  • Go to Grad Images website
  • Enter graduates last name
  • Enter Texas A&M University-Texarkana for the school
  • Enter ceremony year
  • Click "Find My Photos"
  • If the graduate has a customer number, enter the graduates last name, customer name and click "Find My Photos".
