A&M-Texarkana and Texarkana Therapy Center Form New Academic Partnership
TEXARKANA, Texas – Texas A&M University-Texarkana and Texarkana Therapy Center have entered a new academic partnership that will allow Texarkana Therapy Center employees to take courses at the university with reduced tuition prices. The partnership was officially launched on August 13, 2024, with the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the A&M-Texarkana Campus.
“We are pleased to announce that Texarkana Therapy Center is our university’s newest community partner,” said Dr. Ross Alexander, President of A&M-Texarkana. “This is a company whose mission is to help children thrive by providing only the highest level of care. We know that by helping their employees to reach their academic goals, these young patients will benefit as well.”
“Texarkana Therapy Center is excited about our new educational partnership with A&M-Texarkana,” said Dorie Pearson, owner of Texarkana Therapy Center. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to the continued education and growth of our employees, which ultimately will enhance the quality of care we provide to the children we serve. We look forward to the positive impact this will have on our clinic and the community.”
Under the terms of the new partnership Texarkana Therapy Center employees will receive a tuition discount on all undergraduate, graduate, certificate, or micro-credential programs delivered in-person, online, or through a hybrid format. The agreement also waives the standard application fee. In addition to the tuition discount, any eligible employee who is a new student at the university will receive the First Flight Scholarship, which gives the new student their first class free if they are enrolled in at least 6 hours at the undergraduate or graduate level.
The benefits of the partnership are available immediately and may be used for the upcoming Fall 2024 semester which begins on August 26, 2024. Employees wishing to take advantage of the new partnership must meet the admissions standards of the program to which they apply and must remain in good academic standing.
