Electrical Engineering Laboratories
The facilities available to our undergraduate Electrical Engineering students are adequate and include some of the state-of-the- art equipment required to accomplish the Electrical Engineering program objectives and provide an environment conducive to learning.
Electronics, Digital Systems, Embedded Systems, and Circuits Laboratory
This lab has 22 workstations equipped with the latest technology equipment, including digital storage oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, digital multi-meters, function generators, frequency analyzers, LCR meter, digital logic training kit Microcontrollers, and a PCB milling machine.
Power Systems Laboratory
The lab has seven workstations with complete training modules for electro-mechanical systems. Each workstation includes Festo equipment with LVDAC-EMS software. A hybrid-energy module consists of a solar/wind energy training system. The dissectible machines are an essential tool of learning which can be re-assembled using stators, rotors, armatures, rheostats, and capacitors as components
Programmable Logic and Embedded Systems Laboratory
The PLC lab was established to support the Electrical Engineering students gain fundamental knowledge and training on PLC applications. The laboratory is equipped with seven Allen-Bradley PLCs with Studio 5000 and Logix Emulate software and automatic control applications such as the advanced PLC training system (Rockwell Automation) developed by Festo Didactics.
Computer Aided Design (CAD) Laboratory
The EE program has access to state-of-the-art Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and the Rapid Prototyping (RP) Laboratory. The CAD Laboratory is located in the BASS 247. This lab has 24 CAD workstations with eight (8) 3D printers and two laser printers. The lab has an area of 1174 SF and provides students with hands-on experience in engineering design, manufacturing, and rapid prototyping.
