PATHWAYS Program
PATHWAYS is a mentorship program and is designed to encourage and support students through guidance and engagement to enhance academic and personal success.
Program Benefits:

Program Requirements:
- Currently making satisfactory academic progress = 2.0 GPA
- Must attend weekly meetings with PATH Program staff and mentors
- Complete required training's as assigned
- Must attend required campus and community events
LaKing
The PATHWAYS program has been a way for me to build a brotherhood with other men. As someone who was in the military I already share a brotherhood with many, but PATHWAYS allows me to build relationships with other college students as well. It has also given me a safe place to get out of my comfort zone and explore and learn new things.
PATHWAYS Application Information
DEADLINE TO APPLY IS AUGUST 1ST.
Participants must satisfy the following requirements in order to remain in the program and receive scholarships. By checking “yes” and submitting the form below, you certify that you will meet the following requirements:
- Attend weekly PATHWAYS Program meetings during fall and spring
- Attend weekly meetings with your Program Mentor during fall and spring
- Attend campus and community events as indicated in Program Calendar during fall and spring
ESSAY: Please submit a one page essay about yourself and why you want to be a member of the PATHWAYS Program.

- I hereby authorize the Texas A&M University-Texarkana PATHWAYS program staff or hired Reviewer to obtain academic, financial aid, and other information pertinent to my participation in the PATHWAYS program.
- I understand that my application and its contents will be kept on file at the PATHWAYS program office and will be kept confidential in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- I also understand that the PATHWAYS program is not responsible for any grades I receive.
- The Program is only responsible for clarification of subject matter and for suggestions on how to improve my chances for success.
- I understand that completion of this form does NOT guarantee acceptance into the PATHWAYS program.
- I certify that the information contained herein is true and complete to the best of my knowledge.
- I will maintain an open mind and positive attitude towards students, mentors, tutor, academic coaches and other PATHWAY program staff members.
- I will be a responsible student and adhere to Texas A&M University-Texarkana’s Institutional Student Code of Conduct.
- I understand that once I am accepted into the PATHWAYS program, I have a participant obligation to update my files as requested by the program and remain in active status.
- I understand that if for any reason the Program Director feels that my participation is detrimental to the program or other students, I will be dismissed/removed.
