Brand Guidelines

The Texas A&M University-Texarkana brand is our unique identity, and so much more. It includes numerous elements such as our name, logo, colors, design elements, and tone of voice. It also includes our values, mission, and our reputation. It is critical that we maintain consistency across all aspects of our brand identity to reinforce the truth of our brand values (Flexible, Reputable, Attainable).

As stewards of the A&M-Texarkana brand, this office oversees all usage of the brand and reserves the right to audit any usage of brand elements in materials.

University Logos

The University utilizes a number of logos/brand marks. A selection of those are displayed below. Additional logo variations are available through the download link. If there are any questions regarding proper logo usage, please contact marketing@tamut.edu.

The primary brand mark for University Athletics, and restricted to athletics usage without prior approval.

Official Fonts

Museo Slab 500

The primary font for brand marks and titles. Primarily associated with the A&M-Texarkana logo.


Helvetica Neue

The "workhorse" font at A&M-Texarkana. A modern sans-serif font that works across most applications.

Important Brand Updates

Texas A&M University–Texarkana is in the early stages of a brand identity refresh. This will include the University’s institutional and athletic visual identities. Information on the initial updates can be found below, stay tuned for a more in-depth brand review on the horizon.

Notable Updates

  • Primary University colors are Navy and White. Gold can be used as a supplemental/highlight color.
  • Athletic logos/brand marks are to be used only for athletics initiatives. Any other usage will require Marketing approval.

Brand Goals

  • Modernization: Refresh our brand to modernize our imagery and stay relevant in a competitive higher education landscape.
  • Visibility: The primary driver of the color palette change is “contrast.” This allows our brand marks catch viewers’ attention.
  • Differentiation: The refresh will aid in differentiating A&M-Texarkana from other institutions.
  • Growth and Expansion: The refresh reflects the University’s growth, including new programs, facilities, and increased enrollment.
  • Student Attraction and Retention: The refresh is intended to aid in attracting prospective students and to retain current students.
  • Consistent Messaging: This refresh ensures that we establish clear and consistent usage of brand marks across the University.
  • Future: This start to the brand refresh will help to align with the University’s plan for the future, positioning us for long-term success and adaptability.
